Raised to be a fair and just princess, Snow White lives isolated from her kingdom after her mother's death and her father's disappearance. She and her subjects are ruled and oppressed by her stepmother, a powerful sorceress who covets beauty. As Snow White grows, she becomes a target of the queen, who is envious of her beauty. Fleeing for her life, Snow White learns the truth about her people and her life and brings hope for a better tomorrow.

This live-action remake of the 1937 classic is fraught with controversy and terrible reviews, but it puts a fresh twist on a classic tale. The story is relatively similar, with many key parts being kept the same. There are a lot of songs, to the point where one ends and the next begins, making it a musical and potentially putting some to sleep. There is a bit of action, some comedy, and all of the classic scenes. The runtime of one hour and forty-nine minutes feels long with the number of musical sequences. Overall, this movie is not as terrible as it is made out to be. It is a good movie to introduce the next generation to a classic. If not a trip to the theaters, stream it at home and judge for yourself.
