After the forest floods, a solitary cat finds refuge in a boat and travels to safety. As water levels rise along the way, the cat is forced to interact with and help other animals in the forest. As the number of passengers on the boats increases, each addition faces difficulties before joining. They all journey together towards higher ground, surviving perils, solving problems, and learning and tolerating one another.

This is truly a different kind of movie in every aspect. Starting with the visuals, the characters have video-game-quality animation, but the scenery is more rich and vibrant. There is no dialogue; unlike other animated animals, none of these talk. All communication is done through body language, facial expressions, and animal noises. The score and the sound mixing are impressive, especially since they carry the narrative. The story is open to interpretation since it depends on what the viewer takes away from the alternate forms of communication. For this review, the story is about survival, growth, and sacrifice. The one-hour and twenty-five-minute runtime can feel long, especially since there is no dialogue and the film starts slow. This is an artsy film and requires some thought. It is not for the faint of heart but worth watching for a unique experience.
